- In a kadai,add oil and ghee at equal proportion and saute crushed onions till they are light brown.add crushed ginger,garlic and green chilli mixture to it and saute till it's raw smell goes.
- Add sliced tomatoes and cook well.to this add curd and cook till the mixture is brown
- To this add cooked chicken.add garam masala powder and salt as required. Add chopped coriander and mint leaves and mix everything well and cook for few mins.
- In another pot,add ghee and roast spices.to this add water and chicken stock.
- Add rice(soaked for 15 mins and drained) to the water and add few drops of lime juice and salt.cook under low flame.
- Add finely chopped coriander and mint leaves to garnish.
- Now in a pan grease with little ghee and put a layer of rice then a layer of chicken mixture again a layer of rice.garnish with coriander and mint leaves.at this stage you can garnish with ghee sauted cashews and raisins too.
- Dum biriyani pot by keeping on a heavy pan and keep it in low flame for 5 mins.serve it hot with raita and pickle.
