- Make ready 1 & half kg Mutton meat
- Take 1 cup oil
- Make ready 1 cup yoghurt
- Get 4 big tomatoes

- Get leaves Coriander
- Take leaves Few mint
- Take 1 Tsp whole garam masala
- Get 2 bay leaves
- Take 1 pack Biryani masala
- Prepare 2 Tsp ginger garlic paste
- Prepare 1 tsp yellow food colour
This Indian Mutton Biryani Recipe was special during Eids. Ammi used to cook the Mutton Biryani in a huge vessel and distribute it among all neighbors and they really used to look forward to Eid for. Come Friday and Biryani is what he wants Simmer until the mutton is cooked. Continue to cook until the oil separates from the meat.
Instructions to make Mutton Biryani:
- Soak rice in water for 45 min
- Cut onion& tomatoes into rings.
- In pan add oil, ginger garlic paste, & all whole garam masala spices saute it till aroma comes.
- Add onion & fry it till golden add Mutton pieces & fry for 5 min.
- Add tomatoes & biryani masala in it & add yougart & bhoonify it till oil separates add 2 cups water & cover the lid & cook till meat tender.
- In big pan fill half with water & when it boils add soaked rice in it add 4 Tsp salt & bay leaves & cook till 1 kaani rice it means you have to cook rice ehen you mashed with finger you have 1 grain in it..
- Then drain rice in big strainer..
- In big pan add half of rice then add prepared Mutton gravy over it then again cover it with rice sprinkle yellow food colour add green chillies, coriander leaves & mint leaves & out biryani on dum for 15 min on slow flame..
- Serve hot with raita.. enjoy
